The work’s title references the Decalogue – the Ten Commandments – while the scrawled phrases and symbols, including a stark black cross and apocalyptic allusions, confront the tension between imposed order and individual freedom.

Kerr’s layered composition, energy and chaotic interplay of colour and text, reflects his signature outsider aesthetic. The piece pulses with defiance, questioning systems of control – religious, legal, and societal – while asserting the artist’s own voice within that struggle.
